it takes a whole community to educate a child.

to be a Yalari Sponsor.
As an Indigenous business we provide pro bono/low bono coaching and consulting to Indigenous (and non-Indigenous) businesses and individuals looking to make the jump into business. We support corporates create change and deliver impact through the development of Reconciliation Action Plans, Indigenous and corporate strategy and Cultural learning programs.
But we have wanted to do more.
After spending much time considering the programs our business, Elephant in the Room Consulting, could support, we realised we needed to tap into our core values and beliefs.
We believe education is the key to generational change.
It provides the opportunity to learn, engage in new experiences, to grow, explore and maintain our curiosity.
With this in mind, we decided that Yalari was an organisation we wanted to support.
We are proud to announce that from 2023, Elephant in the Room Consulting is now a sponsor of a Yalari student, committing to 6 years of support.
Supporting, developing and nurturing Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students
Yalari is a not-for-profit organisation that offers quality, secondary education scholarships at leading Australian boarding schools for Indigenous children from regional, rural and remote communities.
Yalari was founded in 2005 by Indigenous educationalist Waverley Stanley, his wife Llew Mullins and a group of like-minded and generous people.
Building empowered youth who will lead our communities in the future starts with access to education. We are delighted to partner with Yalari because of their focus and dedication to providing opportunities for Indigenous children in rural, regional, and remote communities.
We look forward to building a strong connection with the Yalari Foundation, its team and the students engaged in the program and look forward to extending our partnership in the future with work experience placements to Indigenous students in their senior years, and mentoring those wishing to explore entrepreneurship.
We know our small contribution will help Yalari bring together Indigenous students, their families, and schools to provide education and opportunities to help them pursue their goals and dreams. We hope to encourage more businesses – not just large corporate entities – to partner with Yalari to sponsor students for their secondary education, as we believe this partnership is rewarding for everyone involved.
